For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich. - 2 Corinthians 8:9

Gods grace is the most powerful thing in this world. We all need it, but we can’t earn it. It’s a gift to us, completely free. Yet so many of us underestimate the power of this gift. Jesus gave His life so that we could have it. The thing about grace is we can’t give it away until we’ve received it, until we recognize the gift we’ve been given. The truth is we don’t even understand how to give it away until we truly KNOW the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Grace is what meets us where we are and takes us to where God wants us to be. God doesn’t stand in our midst, pointing at the gap between where we are and where we should be. Grace covers that gap. The grace we show others should do the same. Far too often we can meet people where they fall short, and point out the gap between where they fall short of the glory of God. Grace covers that gap. We need to KNOW the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ before we can give it away.

There so many different types of grace given to us that we need to recognize if we’re truly going to KNOW the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. These are all part of our experience, we just need to pause and see them. Search your heart for how Grace has impacted your life and let Him break your heart for how you’ve been calloused to His gift. The most beautiful part of the grace that He gives us is that we don’t need to see it for it to happen. He’s already given it to us. But, oh the joy when we finally see it.
